A vandal is believed to have slashed about 44 vehicle tires along a stretch of road in Queens over the weekend, causing thousands in damage, police say.
The tire-slasher struck in the early hours of Sunday morning in the Bayside community, deflating tires along 42nd 43rd avenues.
No arrests have been made.
NYPD officers went door-to-door Sunday afternoon alerting residents to the damage and looking for leads that could potentially identify a suspect.
