Nothing says Fourth of July like fireworks!
Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks, are back for another year to light up the New York City skyline. Launched from five barges positioned on the East River in Midtown, the 46th Annual Pyrotechnic Spectacle will capture spectators with prime viewing in Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn. On Monday, July 4th at approximately 9:25 p.m., Macy’s will begin its signature firework salute to America that will captivate spectators live in New York City and on television from coast-to-coast. There will be elevated public viewing areas along the FDR Drive & locations in Queens & Brooklyn and are shown on the map below.
The 7 official viewing points are: E. 42nd Street & FDR Drive, E. 34th Street & FDR Drive, E. 23rd Street & FDR Drive, Gantry Plaza State Park, Newtown Barge Park, Transmitter Park, an Marsha P. Johnson State Park. As crowds build, some of these locations will be closed & spectators will be redirected to additional open access points along the FDR Drive. Access points, viewing locations & transportation are subject to change.
Looking for a more unique view of the fireworks on July 4th? Edge, the highest outdoor sky deck in New York City, will be hosting an exclusive 4th of July Celebration, inviting guests to take in all of the fireworks shows from the best vantage point in the city. Watch the fireworks from a completely unobstructed perspective at the highest open-air building ascent in the world located in Hudson Yards. From 7:00 p.m. until midnight on July 4, 2022, ticket holders will be granted private access to explore Edge’s indoor and outdoor viewing areas with its thrilling glass-floor, angled glass walls, and skyline steps, all while enjoying fireworks displays from across New York City and New Jersey.
