New York City workers fired over their refusal to get vaccinated are protesting on Tuesday.
More than 1,400 municipal employees have lost their job and Mayor Adams says they won’t get it back, even after he dropped the vaccine mandate for professional athletes in New York City.
Up until this weekend, players like the Nets’ Kyrie Irving were prohibited from playing home games if they weren’t vaccinated. However, Adams lifted that restriction because he said it wasn’t fair that opposing players didn’t have to follow the same standard.
New York City workers say there should be one policy for all.
