The Hello Deli, made famous by the Late Show with David Letterman, will celebrate its 30th anniversary yesterday with Paul Shaffer and New York City Mayor Eric Adams.
The Asian-American owned small business sits on the same block as the Ed Sullivan Theater where the Letterman show was taped each day. Letterman turned the deli's owner Rupert Jee into a star with regular segments inside the deli.
Today Jee will receive a proclamation from New York City in honor of the deli's 30th Anniversary.
