Two New York men are in custody in Maine, accused of disguising 200-thousand dollars worth of cocaine as cake.
Chelsey Cochran and John Cedeno were arrested after a pit stop on the Maine Turnpike earlier in the week. Authorities describe the fake cake's packaging as saying it weighed "one kilogram" and also said in Spanish "perfect white and ideal flow."
The drug was wrapped in plastic and covered with coffee grounds on top, a tactic used by traffickers to try and hide the scent from K-9 dogs. Both men are now without their "cake" as they sit in the Kennebec County Jail.
