Lovebirds Who Fell In Love During Pandemic Tie The Knot At 95

Lots of people were looking for love during lockdown, but not all of them were as successful as John Shults and Joy Morrow-Nulton. This upstate New York couple started dating during the pandemic and did whatever they could to see each other as often as they could. And now they’re proving you’re never too old to make a lifetime commitment by getting married at age 95.

John and Joy have both been widowed twice, but they didn’t give up on love and were determined to find it again. It wasn’t easy, especially before they were vaccinated and had to do their dating in a bubble. These lovebirds took pleasure doing simple things together, like taking long drives to nowhere, sometimes stopping to smooch along banks of the Hudson River.

And things were going so well, John popped the question to Joy. Although it took him asking dozens of times before she said yes, eventually she did and the couple just tied the knot in a small ceremony. "She was worth it,” the groom says. “It was a pain in the neck, though.”
