Blake Griffin is a six-time NBA All-Star but he won’t be earning a seventh trip to that game in Detroit after Griffin and the Pistons agreed to a contract buyout Friday, making him an unrestricted free agent.

Griffin informed Nets general manager Sean Marks of his decision to join Brooklyn's championship chase on Sunday evening—a reunion of sorts with his former Los Angeles Clippers teammate DeAndre Jordan.
Griffin had interest from most of the NBA's top playoff contenders and cleared waivers on Sunday night after agreeing to a buyout on the remaining $56.5 million left on his contract with Detroit.
