Dogs and cats have arrived in New Jersey after being rescued from Texas.
Dozens of animals are looking for new homes after Texas animal shelters lost power and water. The charity group Wings of Rescue flew the animals to New Jersey for safety. ASPCA has now stepped up and are helping the animals in New Jersey so they can look for a new home.
“We’re really excited to be able to help them. The shelters have been working so hard to keep the animals safe and to assist the community,” says Way Station program director Colleen Harrington. “So, getting all these animals transported to New Jersey – they’ll get adopted really quickly here. And it also lightens the burden for them to be able to assist their community and other shelters in the regions. “
The animals are currently at St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center until they are adopted.
