An NYPD officer is being disciplined by the department for wearing a patch supporting former President Donald Trump.
The female sergeant was seen on video outside a precinct in Fort Greene, Brooklyn Friday night during a Black Lives Matter protest. A patch on her uniform depicted a skull with a Trump-style hairdo, and the words: "Trump 2020 Make Enforcement Great Again."
In a tweet Police Commissioner Dermot Shea said: "Members of the NYPD must remain apolitical." The NYPD says the officer has received an initial discipline and that a further investigation is ongoing.
