Nets: No Timetable For Kyrie Irving's Return

Fans of the Brooklyn Nets anxious to see superstar guard Kyrie Irving back with the team will have to keep on waiting for news until further notice.

This after Nets GM Sean Marks said yesterday that Irving remains out due to personal reasons. There is currently no finalized date for when the enigmatic one-time NBA champion will play again.

Marks added that the club is aware of a video that appears to show Irving maskless and attending a recent family gathering. The Nets and NBA are reviewing the matter to determine if Irving violated the league's health and safety protocols. He could face a fine from either the club or the Association upon his return.

Irving first stepped away from the Nets ahead of last Thursday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers, roughly 24 hours after supporters of President Donald Trump took part in a violent riot at the U.S. Capitol. The 28-year-old also missed contests versus the Memphis Grizzlies and Oklahoma City Thunder and didn’t play in Tuesday night’s 122-116 win over the Denver Nuggets.

But the team’s leading scorer Kevin Durant did—leading the Nets with 34 points in his return after missing a week in COVID protocols.
