No Pearl Harbor Vets To Mark 79th Remembrance

No World War Two veterans will be on hand to mark Monday's 79th Pearl Harbor remembrance ceremony of the attack on December 7th, 1941. The Honolulu Star-Advertiser says there will be no public attendance either due to COVID-19. However, a few of the remaining survivors will have the opportunity to visit the USS Arizona Memorial for a moment of reflection following the live-streamed morning ceremony. Many of the veterans are close to 100 years old and officials say they made the decision out of an abundance of caution.
