Joe Biden Tapped As The President-Elect

While President Trump and his supporters may deny it, the electoral college appears to have spoken: Joe Biden will be the 46th president of the United States. At last check, he had collected 290 Electoral College votes to Trump's 214. Taking a victory lap on Saturday night, Biden said it’s time to end the harsh rhetoric, lower the temperature and move forward as a nation.

Biden formally declared victory during a drive-in rally near his home in Delaware calling it a “convincing victory” and “the honor of a lifetime.” He said the U.S. is poised to enter a "better day." Biden pledged to be a president who aims to unify, not divide the country.

He was joined, of course, by Vice President-elect Kamala Harris, who thanked voters and said they chose hope, unity, decency, science and truth. It’s expected that Biden and Harris will be sworn in on January 20th.
