President Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden won't debate but they'll still compete tonight. Trump will take part in a town hall with NBC News, while Biden will field questions in a town hall on ABC. Both events begin at 8pm ET.
As you might recall, the Commission on Presidential Debates canceled the debate planned for today when Trump objected to a virtual format. The commission had decided on a virtual debate after Trump tested positive for the coronavirus.
But now? There’s a growing call for NBC to be boycotted by those upset that Trump’s town hall is happening at the same time as Biden’s. Still, while a number of pundits in the Twitterverse are trying to increase the pressure, it doesn’t appear to be working. Both events are expected to go on as planned.
