Having a passport is certainly exciting for folks who love to travel because it means you can go almost anywhere. But not every passport grants you access to every country and a new report reveals which passports give folks the most access.
- The Passport Index has come out with their list of the most powerful passports in the world.
- They ranked the 193 United Nations countries based on how many nations those passports granted visa-free access to or allowed visitors to get visas on arrival.
- Topping the list this year is New Zealand, with their passport giving travelers acess to 129 countries.
- Germany, Australia, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Ireland, South Korea, Japan and Australia are all next with 128 countries.
- The U.S. lands at 21 alongside Malaysia, with American passports scoring just a 92, only allowing visa free access to 52 countries, and visa on arrival for 40.

As for the least powerful passport, that goes to Afghanistan and Iraq, with a score of just 31.
