The single people among us might be better off according to a new study published in the Journal of Social & Personal Relationships. Their findings show single people are “more likely to stay in touch with, provide help to, and receive help from parents, siblings, neighbors, and friends” than their married counterparts. Married people have each other, but are more apt to let outside social ties fall by the wayside over time. On the other hand, the single community has increased social ties and opportunities.
