Mets, Marlins Take 42-Seconds Of Silence Before Postponing Game

While all seven MLB games that were canceled yesterday sent an important message, if ever they gave style points for that message—that would go to the Mets and Marlins.

Watch as the two teams—who were scheduled to play yesterday—instead used the opportunity to participate in a protest for racial injustice as both teams stepped out of their respective dugouts to observe a 42-second moment of silence, Marlins righty Stephen Tarpley placed a T-shirt that read "Black Lives Matter" on home plate, and then everyone went inside their clubhouses.
