It’s been a long road, but Brooklyn the dog has finally found her forever home. After spending nearly seven years in the New Jersey shelter system, she has a new family.
"It took 2,536 days, but this beautiful girl has finally been adopted!" the Hamilton Township Animal Shelter and Adoption Center in Trenton shared in a Facebook post.
The shelter had been sharing Brooklyn’s story on social media in an effort to find her a foster family. She had been in a foster home for six weeks and they didn’t want her to have to “return to the same lonely kennel run.” And all that attention helped lead the family who adopted Brooklyn to her. We love a happy ending like this!
