More than 14-thousand fans voted and now it's official:Sean Connery has been crowned the best James Bond of all time. To review, these are the Bonds we've had, in order:
- Sean Connery (1962–1967, 1971 and 1983)
- David Niven(1967)
- George Lazenby(1969)
- Roger Moore(1972 - 1985)
- Timothy Dalton(1986 - 1994)
- Pierce Brosnan(1994 - 2004)
- Daniel Craig(2005 - present)
The U.K. survey was a tournament-style poll that saw the current Bond - Daniel Craig - knocked out in the first round. And in the end, it all came down to Connery,Brosnan,andDaltonin the finals. But it was Mr. Connery – star of seven Bond movies total – who came away with the honor of being the fan’s favorite 007.
By how much?Connery scored 44% of the vote, Dalton ended up in second place with 32% (respectable) and while Brosnan had 23% of the votes.
