Governor Andrew Cuomo is angry about the weekend drive-in concert by the Chainsmokers.
Cuomo has ordered a probe into the “illegal and reckless” event that was supposed to be limited to 300 cars, but ended up seeing three thousand people at the show, with many out of their cars and standing close together. Some attendees were seen with face masks, but many photographed went without.
We told you that organizers have said the pictures are deceiving and that many people social distanced, but the photos don’t seem to confirm that. The New York Heath Department is now investigating.
Meanwhile the state attorney general says they believe the conditions of the permits given were violated. The event was shut down at 10:30 p.m. by police and fire marshals.
