NJ Man Drives 500 Miles To Deliver N95 Masks To Nurse Sister

A brother not only convinced his employer to donate much-needed protective equipment to a hospital, he delivered them himself. Joshua Yajcaji, works for Vivint Solar and they had ordered 396 N95 masks to protect workers installing solar panels. But when the company found out simple face coverings would work for their employees, the masks were able to go to those who really needed them.

Joshua’s sister, Alexis Schulman, is a nurse at a hospital in High Point, North Carolina, that’s strictly treating coronavirus patients and she says they were tight on their supply of protective gear. He encouraged his company to give the masks to Cone Health’s Green Valley Campus where Alexis works and he drove 530 miles from New Jersey to bring them in person. And she’s extremely grateful for the generosity.

"I wasn't surprised. He always does things for people and gives the shirt off his back to make sure they're taken care of," Alexis says of her brother. "Three hundred and ninety five masks mean we can be well protected for another several weeks."
