A 106-year-old New York City woman came down with pneumonia back in late March and her family feared the worst. Frances Abbracciamento actually had coronavirus and now she’s recovered from it, just in time to celebrate her 107th birthday.
The Queens woman beat the odds and now plans to celebrate her recovery and her birthday. Frances has already lived through the Spanish Flu of 1918, Hurricane Sandy in 2012, and a broken hip and shoulder when she was 101, so she’s definitely a survivor. And her four children, nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren are extremely thankful they get more time with her.
Now Frances says she’s looking forward to enjoying a plate of spaghetti with her son-in-law’s Bolognese sauce and adds, “Everyone needs to be grateful and count their blessings every day.”
