Giancarlo Stanton: I'd Hit 80 Home Runs If I Knew The Pitch

While many MLB players have been lashing out at the Astros for what they did in the sign stealing scandal—one New York Yankee is taking a different approach.

And that would be New York Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton who is saying what he would have done if he were involved in it.

And he says he would have done a lot more—hitting that is.

"If I knew what [pitch] was coming in 2017, I probably would have hit 80-plus home runs," Stanton said yesterday.

And why would you doubt the man who led the majors with 59 home runs in 2017 as a member of the Miami Marlins. That total was the most by a major league player since 2001.

Stanton later clarified his comment, saying it "wasn't to make it about me."

"The point I was trying to make is that if I was part of that team and got the home run record doing that, there's no way that would be upheld and not have asterisks or taken away," he said. "So, neither should their accolades, is what I was getting at with that."

Hey, he has a point.

Seems like the guy that carries a big stick isn’t bother speaking softly about this scandal.
