Michael Bloomberg is squaring off against his Democratic rivals for the first time, participating in Wednesday night’s debate in Las Vegas.
Bloomberg has spent hundreds of millions of dollars of his own fortune, causing those rivals to complain that he’s trying to buy the election. His campaign ads have been effective, pushing him into the top three in recent polls.
Bloomberg was a late entry into the race and isn’t even participating in this weekend’s Nevada caucus.Instead, he’s focused on Super Tuesday.
