Two teenagers have been killed in New Jersey after both fell into icy ponds in separate incidents.
In East Brunswick, three teens were playing on a pond when the ice broke. Two were able to escape and tried to rescue the third.
The 13-year-old was eventually pulled from the water by rescue crews but was pronounced dead.
Around the same time in Carteret, two teens fell into the water. A 15-year-old was pulled from the water by authorities but later died at the hospital.
