Lax bail laws are being blamed some bank robbing mayhem in Manhattan.
Gerod Woodberry was initially locked up for his alleged connection to four bank jobs between December 30th and January 8th. As impressive as that sounds, there’s more. Because of the recent bail reform laws in New York, Woodberry was set free, and…any guesses as to what happened next?
Cops say that this past Friday, he took down a fifth bank...and they’re on the lookout for him. It all could be for naught, though, because cops say the loophole is in the fact that he’s using a note, rather than a gun. Because there’s no actual weapon, “no jail can hold him.”
