Disclaimer no this is not Spirit Airlines. A passenger on-board a flight took a video of a wheel falling off an airplane during take-off. Sparks were seen coming from the wheel while the plane taxied down the runway and the tire fell off as they went into the air. It happened when an Air Canada Express flight was leaving Montreal.
The Dash 8 plane was forced to burn off fuel and return to the airport. The plane was able to land with the 5 tires that remained out of the original 6 that the plane comes with. The 49 passengers and 3 crew members were safe and no injuries were reported.
