A 3-year-old boy was killed in East Harlem on Monday after being struck by a pickup truck.
The child was being pushed in a stroller by his mother when a truck turning from East 116th Street onto First Avenue hit the boy. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The truck driver remained at the scene.He was taken into custody for driving with a suspended license.
Six children have been hit and killed by cars in the city in 2019.
