A lot of people will be traveling next week over Thanksgiving and while most people will be headed home to enjoy some turkey with mom and dad, there will be plenty of people using their four days off from work to get in an actual vacation.
So, where is everyone going? Well, according to Allianz Global Assistance's Top 10 Thanksgiving Destination Index:
- For the fifth year in a row New York is the top domestic Thanksgiving travel destination.
- Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic has apparently overcome all their bad press from the summer to become this year’s top hot spot, beating Cancun, which has been number one for the past four years.
- Of the international locations, eight are beach destinations.
