Wesley Wernecke filed a lawsuit against his employer claiming his salary was slashed, and he was treated differently when he came out at work
Wernecke, who works for Eventique as a senior producer, claims that since the owner of the company, Henry David found out he was gay his salary was dropped from $145,000 a year to $70,000 a year, so it was on par with "the other females in the office."
According to an article published in the New York Post, Wernecke's lawyer Anthony Consiglio said, "My client is an accomplished marketing director and producer of live events who was aggressively recruited for the job. When the employer found out he was gay he was systematically shut out of the job."
David's lawyer, Gena Zaiderman called the allegations "shocking" and "baseless."
Wernecke was fired after just three months on the job.
