Amid outrage over a crackdown on vendors in the subway system, new video shows NYPD officers arresting a man selling candy in Harlem.
The video shows officers holding the man down on the ground at the 125th Street and Lexington Avenue station on Tuesday night. Those in the background yell that the man didn’t do anything wrong.
The NYPD said 26-yeawr-old Byron Shark repeatedly refused to show officers his ID. They said he also resisted arrest.
In Brooklyn on Wednesday, a rally was held in support of two women who were stopped from selling churros in the subway.
