A group of 40-60 wild turkeys has been menacing the town of Toms River, New Jersey, and residents are crying foul.
Members of the community say they have notified the New Jersey Department of Fish & Wildlife only to be told that state officials do not have the jurisdiction to trap wildlife.
Neighborhood resident, Amy Paxton told the Gothamnist.com, "The turkeys are as big as small dogs and they're very aggressive. There are times I don't dare get out of my car when I pull into my driveway."
New York Mets infielder Todd Frazier lives in Toms River. He added, "They have come close to harming my family and friends, and ruined my cars, trashed my yard and much more."
Other reports indicate that Staten Island residents are having similar problems with their turkeys.
