A single mother in Buffalo, New York who was struggling to get her special needs daughter to medical appointments has been given something she desperately needed: a new set of wheels. Elizabeth Bova’s car completely broke down while she was taking her daughter, Zoe, to cancer treatments, which made getting her there a challenge.
But thanks to the P.U.N.T. Foundation, a charity that helps families with pediatric cancer, and a team including Geico, West Herr Automotive, and the National Auto Body Council “Recycled Rides” program, Bova now has a 2016 Honda CRV. And while the free SUV is amazing, she recently got some even better news - Zoe finished cancer treatments and is now considered in remission.
“This feels amazing,” the thankful mother says. “I couldn’t ask for a better gift.”
