The New York Jets are buried in a quarterback crisis, but their regular starter is hoping that he’ll only miss two more games.
Sam Darnold said “the goal” is to be back against the Eagles in Week 5. which is the timetable he’s been given by doctors.
Darnold is recovering from mono. It’s contagious and dangerous in that it can enlarge vital organs, making them susceptible to rupturing. With that in mind, the Jets are going to have to be very careful with Darnold going forward.
Anyone think the Jets receivers should get mono in their hands—so maybe they swell to a size big enough to hold onto a football thrown by any Jets QB?
Kidding I wouldn’t wish mono on anyone.
Actually, I wouldn’t wish being a New York Jet on anybody either.
Not sure which is a worse shade of green.
