As if we needed another reason to love Hugh Jackman, now we hear he helped a man get engaged at one of his shows. Joe Kripal wrote to the actor a few months ago to enlist his help in popping the question to his girlfriend, Sanaa Ahmed. At the St. Paul stop on his “The Man. The Music. The Show” tour, Hugh did just that.
In the video – which you can see on the right – Hugh approaches Joe, who proceeds to tell Sanaa, “You’re the love of my life, and I want to spend every day with you, which is why I asked Hugh, here, to help me out with this.” He asked. She said yes, and the crowd went wild.
Joe said he was nervous, but had no doubt that he’d get a yes from Sanaa. As for his partner in crime, Joe said, “I love how genuine of a guy Hugh Jackman is. The entire time it didn’t seem like something he felt that he had to do, but something he wanted to be a part of.”
