Giants coach Pat Shurmur already seems to be doing better than his predecessor Ben McAdoo because even in the offseason, he is generating intriguing back page headlines.
Because when Shurmur was asked about his current QB situation, pitting the veteran Eli Manning against the rookie first rounder Daniel Jones, he had this response:
"We’re gonna play the very best player. I know we’re dancing around the words here, but right now Eli is getting ready to have a great year and Daniel is getting ready to play. We’ll just see what happens…”
And that statement is as frustrating to a Giants fan as it is to an English teacher because when you are comparing two people or things, the correct phrasing is “better.”
Shurmur better be better at judging talent.
