A group of researchers say they’ve received a ping from a great white shark in the Long Island Sound off the shore of Greenwich, Connecticut.
It’s the first time a great white shark has ever been tracked in the Long Island Sound.
The shark is 9 feet, 8 inches long and weighs 530 pounds. It’s named Cabot.
The research group OCEARCH tagged the shark near Nova Scotia last year and said it’s traveled north from Florida in recent months.
