A New York Police Department officer has been charged with plotting to kill her ex-husband after she allegedly attempted to pay an undercover agent posing as a hitman $7,000 in gold coins to kill him and a minor.
The criminal complaint accuses her of asking a confidential FBI informant to help her find someone to kill not only the husband but a minor as well whose identities weren't made public. Sources are saying the minor is the 15-year-old daughter of her current boyfriend who is also the confidential informant who told police about her plans.
Valerie Cincinelli, an NYPD officer since 2007 and a mother of two, was taken into custody by the FBI and NYPD internal affairs. The FBI agent posing as the hitman sent Cincinelli a photo of her ex-husband appearing to be dead in his car. Local police, working with the FBI, then showed up at her home to inform her that her former husband had been murdered.
