Travelocity recently came out with their picks for the most popular U.S. vacation destinations for summer based on bookings on their site. Well, now TripAdvisor is chiming in with their opinion.
According to a new TripAdvisor survey, 92% of folks are planning a summer getaway this year, which is up 12% from last year. Overall, 48% will travel as a couple, while 37% will travel as a family. As for the types of vacations people will be going on, 55% of travelers will be staying in the U.S., with the most popular destination being the beach/ocean (22%).
So, what are the most popular domestic destinations for summer this year? Well, it seems Disney World is going to be a hit this summer, with Orlando, Florida the most popular destination, followed by Las Vegas Nevada.
