New York City Police are making a renewed effort to ban sexual predators from the subway system.
“I understand it’s a difficult conversation, but I think it’s a conversation that we have to hold about excluding people from the public subway,” Chief of Detectives Dermot Shea said.
He said it’s often the same group of people who commit sexual crimes on the subway. Shea said kids are even targeted.
“We have individuals that continually perpetuate crimes, these recidivists, that this is what they do,” Shea said.
It's unclear how a ban would be enforced.
