Uber and Lyft drivers went on strike on Wednesday morning, turning off the app and refusing to pick up fares for two hours.
It’s part of a nationwide effort where drivers are calling for better pay and improved working conditions. They’re driving across the Brooklyn Bridge and then rallying in Long Island City.
The two hour strike comes before Uber’s IPO on Thursday that could be worth $90 billion. Driver argue they should be entitled to more then they’re currently receiving.
