“Today Show” anchor Kathie Lee Gifford leaves NBC’s “Today Show” in a little over a week, but isn’t expecting a big emotional farewell on the final show.
“I think we’re out of tears,” Gifford told WOR’s “Len Berman and Michael Riedel in the Morning.”
Gifford said they’ve already been on the receiving end of emotional tributes, including from co-host Hoda Kotb.Gifford said she had to be talked into doing the “Today Show” and only planned to stay for a year.
“During that time I fell in love,” Gifford said.
She called Kotb “sunshine in a bottle” and said she looked forward to working with her every day.
Gifford said she’s leaving the “Today Show” because she believes she’s running out of time to do other things.
