Drivers are being warned about the possibility of slick road conditions on Wednesday.
A storm moved through the area on Tuesday night and is being followed by brutally cold temperatures.The high on Wednesday is just 31 degrees, but it will get even colder on Thursday with temperatures plunging into the single digits.
There won’t be any relief from the freezing cold until Sunday.
New York City and most of New Jersey escaped any significant snow on Tuesday night, with mostly just rain falling.However, some areas north and west of the city did see snowfall.A number of schools in those areas have delayed openings on Wednesday.
