A search is underway for someone flying two drones near Teterboro Airport, resulting in a temporary ground stop at Newark Airport.
The drones were spotted by pilots landing at Newark around 6 p.m. on Tuesday night. That caused the airport to suspend all arriving flights.
Incoming flights were forced to circle the airport for about an hour until officials were confident that the drones were no longer in the area. Drones aren’t allowed to fly within 5 miles of an airport.
Authorities are now trying to find out who was flying the drones.
