Kevin O'Brien, the former Deputy Chief of staff for Mayor Bill de Blasio was fired in March of 2018 after he was accused of sexual harassment according to a seven-page report obtained by the New York Post.
The two unidentified victims and O'Brien were investigated in February of last year and investigators released a statement that read, "After the investigation, the allegations of sexual harassment are substantiated and it is recommended that O'Brien be terminated from employment in the Mayor's office.
Mayor de Blasio released a statement to the press that read, "An absolutely unacceptable situation occurred and I will not tolerate anything like it in my Administration." The Mayor added, "To the courageous women who stepped forward, I am deeply sorry this happened. We have a responsibility to foster a safe and respectful workplace."
According to documents released by de Blasio's office O'Brien resigned his position on March 23 of 2018.
