Georgia Man Held In Plot To Attack White House

Federal prosecutors say a 21-year-old Georgia man is being charged with plotting an attack on the White House. U.S. Attorney Byung J. Paksays agents arrested Hasher Taheb yesterday following a yearlong investigation. Apparently, he was taken into custody as he tried to trade his car for explosives.

But it wasn’t just the White House. Taheb allegedly planned a "mass casualty" attack on a variety of federal buildings in Washington, DC and hoped to carry out his attack using an improvised explosive device and an anti-tank rocket.

Pak said there is not a threat to the community and he emphasized the upcoming Super Bowl in Atlanta was never a target in this case. “All potential threats have been neutralized,” Pak told reporters. “And were under control from the inception of this case.”
