NYC Activist Is Offering A Reward To Catch Houston Girl’s Killer

A New York City community activist is offering a large reward to whoever turns in the killer of a seven-year-old black Houston girl.

Community activist Shaun King and civil right attorney S. Lee Merritt, along with donors, are ponying up about 60-thousand dollars to anybody who hands over the man who shot Jazmine Barnes. Police said the girl's family was driving early Sunday morning when a red four-door pickup pulled up alongside, and somebody in it opened fire. The girl was killed and her mother and six-year-old sister were wounded. Some in the community have raised concerns that the shooting may have been racially motivated.

King and Merritt say most of the leads so far go no where, but a handful have proven useful.
