NJ Steps Up Snow Storm Preparations

After a snow storm brought New Jersey and much of the tri-state to a standstill last week, Governor Phil Murphy is stepping up the state’s preparations.

Ahead of two possible minor storms this week, salt spreaders were out on the state’s roads on Sunday.  Both are expected to be far less significant than last week’s storm.

The state’s Office of Emergency Management even tweeted out a warning about a set of clipper weather systems headed for the state.  The impact could be felt through Tuesday.

Murphy and other local officials faced widespread criticism last week for their preparations and response to a storm that brought the area to a halt.  The snow was worse than originally forecast and many drivers were stuck on the roads for hours.
