Harvey Weinstein’s legal team is asking a judge to toss the case now that another accuser’s credibility has been questioned. Apparently Mimi Haleyi, who is claiming that Harvey forced her into oral sex – stayed in contact with him seven months after the alleged assault. There are texts to prove it, which is why Ben Brafman wants the whole case dismissed. In addition, it’s not clear if there might be misconduct by the former lead detective who was accused of witness tampering, Nicholas DiGaudio. Brafman says that’s enough to taint the case.
