A major construction project has begun near the Lincoln Tunnel, impacting traffic for more than two years.
Last Friday night, workers closed the 31st Street ramp from Kennedy Boulevard to Route 495. Later this week, one lane will be closed in each direction on the Route 495 bridge.
Drivers are encouraged to use mass transit, if they can. If they can’t, drivers are being told to use the Holland Tunnel or the George Washington Bridge.
Construction is expected to last until 2021.
