- Mets got out on top in the second inning when Adrian Gonzalez smacked a single to give the Mets the 1-0 lead.
- Jay Bruce knocked an RBI Single in the bottom of the third to give the Mets a 3-0 Lead
- Noah Syndergaard wasn’t his electric self, but he was very good and very efficient in a 6 inning, 5 hit, 5 strikeout performance where he gave up just one earned run.
- Mets extended their lead in the 7th to 4-2 with some aggressive baserunning and timely hitting by Amed Rosario
- The Bullpen kept the Marlins at bay till the 9th when Jeurys Familia came in to try and close it out.
- It wasn’t the cleanest as Familia gave up two hits, but he got the job done, striking out the last two batters and picking up his 5th save, and the Mets are 8-1 to start the 2018 Season, a 6 game winning streak!
